Job description
SPRAY FERTILIZER TECHNICIAN (Ft Worth/Carrollton)
Smith Lawn and Tree has an opening for a qualified and experienced Spray/Fertilizer technician in our Carrolton Texas location. He would be responsible for making applications of various fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides to turf and landscape beds on commercial and residential properties.

Qualification/ Experience:
Some knowledge of backpack sprayers, spreaders and/or calibration equipment a plus.
Basic math skills and conversions required to measure and mix proper amounts of liquids and granular products.
The Fertilizer Technician’s Responsibilities will include
• Operate a Z-Spray Machine
• Work as a team
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
• The Ability to complete all job paperwork
• Drive/Operate truck and trailer
• Mix, load, and apply fertilizers/herbicides to numerous sites each day
• Perform the chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned properties
• Monitor landscape health and care needs. The Tech diagnoses primary turf problems and basic pest identification.
• Maintain proper documentation as required by The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
• The Tech must take a proactive approach to safety by attending all required field safety training and utilizing proper safety equipment.
• The right candidate must be willing to learn, follow processes and procedures and be a team member,

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of Fertilization Application
• Identify Weeds
• Properly mix product
• Ability to operate Z-Spray Machine
• Drive a truck and a trailer
• Back up a truck and trailer
• Professional references
• A clean driving record and background is required
• Valid Driver’s license
Compensation Based on Experience
