Today we want to talk about Tree “root flares”. This is common issue that we see where mulch has been piled up over and over again creating a “mulch volcano”. This is the wrong way to do it. (See first picture)
We recently partnered with an upscale HOA in Southlake, who has numerous tree issues and the first thing we addressed was removing excess mulch, exposing the root flares, and installing mulch back on the trees correctly. (See second and third pictures). We are confident that the overall tree health will start to improve.
